Improving the path to education to deserving college students
About the Alberico Scholarship
Established by the family of Martin and Julius Alberico in 2007, the Alberico Scholarship Foundation seeks to improve the path to education for deserving college-bound students through the administration of educational grants to students of talent, merit, and need. The Foundation will award $2,500 scholarships to college-bound high school seniors with financial need who have demonstrated both academic achievement and leadership in their school and community. Eligible high school students in the Chicagoland or Northwest Indiana area are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications / Selection Criteria
In order to be an Alberico Foundation Scholarship recipient, a student must meet the following criteria:
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.0
- Must submit letters of recommendation from 2 teachers
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must complete the online application form and all attachments

About the Patrick F. McClory Scholarship
The Patrick F. McClory Scholarship (PFMS) seeks to improve the path to certified building and construction trade programs for deserving high school seniors, high school graduates or GED equivalent holders of talent, merit and need through the administration of programmatic grants.
Qualifications / Selection Criteria
Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an approved trade program at an accredited two-year college, vocational or technical school, or other approved technical institute in the United States or a building or construction trade union training program.
To qualify you must be enrolled or plan to enroll in one of the following certificate, license, two-year programs or union training program in: Automotive Technology, Aviation Technology Carpentry, Computer Science/IT, Culinary Arts, Diesel Technology, Electrician, Elevators, Emergency Medical Technology, Fire Science & Technology, Heavy Equipment Operation, HVAC, Insulating/Insulator, Iron Workers, Laboratory or other healthcare programs, Machinery, Manufacturing, Millwright, Nursing/Dental, Pipefitting, Plumbing, Steamfitter/Boilermaker, Welding
The following programs are not eligible for the PFM Scholarship Award: Any four year or bachelor’s degree program, Barbery, Cosmetology, Diving, Farming and Agriculture, and Marine Technology.
In order to be a Patrick F. McClory Scholarship recipient, a student must submit the following:

- 2 Letters of Reference/Recommendation from teachers, employers or training instructors
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must complete the online application form and all attachments

Scholarship Award Event
Each year, the Alberico Scholarship Foundation will sponsor a fundraiser and the scholarship recipient, parent(s)/guardian(s), and/or the student’s most influential teacher will be invited to attend. The scholarship recipient’s attendance is required to receive the monetary award presented at the event.
The recipient is also required to sign and submit a Publicity Release Form.
